LIKE FLOWERS NEED MANY INGREDIENTS TO GROW, CHILDREN NEED MANY CHOICES TO LEARN.
My View on teaching is that it is like gardening. The children are the seeds that will soon sprout and become beautiful flowers under your care. The tools for gardening are there to help your flowers bloom. Likewise, the tools you use in your classroom will help your children grow. A good gardener knows that not every plant requires the same process to sprout and the same goes for a good teacher.
Children need many things to foster their growth within a classroom. Every child has a a specific way they learn that is uniquely different than their peers. It is what makes children special and what also makes a teachers job hard. Creating a choice rich environment is a challenging and daunting task. When completed successfully, you have a classroom in full bloom.
